JRMS has a comprehensive developmental guidance program that is both reactive and pro-active in design.  The program is centered around personal/social development, career development and academic development.

 

Pro-active programs serve all of the students, teaching life skills and preparing them for transitions.

 

Reactive services address the immediate individual problems and issues that may be affecting a child and interfering with his/her learning.

 

Students have an opportunity to get to know their counselor during Developmental Guidance class, which meets as a Mini Course, and is considered a Fine and Practical Art (FPA).
