"To what extent should humans protect sea life?" This is our essential question to ponder as we begin our new literature unit.  Students will continue to read independently and formulate questions to share with their group.  Three different books are being read. They are:The Island of the Blue Dolphins, Grayson, and Water Sky. Through class discussions and independent readings, students will provide their answer to the above question using support and documentation. Students have been given the requirements for this unit as well as the due dates for individual assignments.  To encourage better organization and observation skills, students were also given a shell.  Students can earn bonus points for this unit by watching for the shell bracelet!
