Nature’s Classroom 2012
Departure and Arrival Information
Departure: Tuesday, May 22 – Students are not permitted to ride the school bus to school on Tuesday morning. They must be dropped off with their luggage no sooner than 7:45 AM and no later than 8:00 AM. Students must be dressed in long pants for departure.
Please drop off your child in back of the school with his/her luggage. There will be signs posted and people assisting you to put the luggage in its proper pile. Students must then report directly to homeroom for attendance. Teachers will accompany students onto the correct busses at loading time.
Parents are welcome to stay and wave good-bye, but please unload quickly and move your car to the front lot. We ask that parents not accompany students into the building. Students will come up to our neighborhood through the back door. At 8:30 AM the busses will pull out and swing around and into the front lot so parents may wave good-bye should you decide to stay around.
Return: Friday, May 25 shortly after 1:30. Please be here on time so we can unload our busses and send your child and their luggage home with you. IMPORTANT CHANGE: You should wait for the busses in the front of the school in your cars (due to the recess schedule.) You may park in the parking spaces in the front lot. We strongly encourage you to car pool to minimize the number of cars arriving to pick up the children.
Please be prompt in dropping off and picking up your child. Our busses must leave promptly at 8:30 AM. We will be unable to hold the busses back to wait for any late arrivals.
Final reminders: Students may not bring food or electronics or any battery operated toys or appliances to Nature’s Classroom. Students may take a day pack with water bottle and jacket / sweatshirt on the bus with them. Students must be dressed in long pants for departure. All luggage must be labeled with your child’s name, homeroom teacher’s name and cabin name. You child will learn their bus number and cabin name on Friday, May 18, 2012.
