This week we wrapped up Topic 13 in Math and are moving on to Topic 14, Using Division for Unit Prices and Rates. We have also been working in the LEGO lab on motorized machines.
On Monday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 15 all fifth grade students will be taking the year end test during their regular math class time. This test includes all material covered from our Growing With Math program this year. A copy of each topic’s study guide is available on the website. Please see that your child is well rested, and feel free to have them review any of the class materials they have from their study of these topics. This test is one of the grades that will be used for placement in sixth grade math.
Officer Mark has assigned the students the DARE essay, which is due on Monday, May 7. This is a required assignment for DARE graduation.
