Dear Fourth Graders,
New beginnings are fun and exciting. I look forward to the start of school and getting to meet each and everyone of you. I have been working hard to prepare the classroom for the start of school but can't wait for you to help add to it when you arrive.
Fourth grade is filled with lots of great opportunities to learn. In math, you will learn double-digit multiplication and long division. In science, you will have the opportunity to conduct a number of experiments, learn about the water cycle, living and non-living things, magnets, electricity, and much more. In reading, we will get "lost" in books during our read alouds, book clubs, buddy reading, and independent reading. In social studies we will explore the many regions of the United States. Lastly, in writing, we will continue to work on narrative stories and also learn about a new style of writing, expository.
I hope you all are enjoying the last few days of vacation and I can't wait to hear all about your summer adventures. I look forward to meeting you at Open House on August 31st.
