Instrumental Music lessons have resumed the usual schedule. All Orchestra and Band Rehearsals are again at 7:15 am.
It is exciting to us all as we prepare for our concert.
The 4th Grade Band concert is scheduled for June 9th.
The 3rd & 4th Grade Orchestra concert is scheduled for June 16th.

3rd Grade String players have an extensive list of songs to practice each day. They can play Can-Can and many other songs. They are continuing to warm up on the D Major scale, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star from memory using Suzuki techniques. They are learning to keep a steady beat and how to read music and to make a warm sound with their bow. Orchestra rehearsals are on Friday mornings.
The 4th Grade Orchestra & Band Quassy Park concert is on June 12th. Orchestra members will meet for tuning at the Quassy lakeside stage at 2:15. Band members will join us to warm up at 2:30. No dress code for the performance at Quassy Park.
4th Grade concert at Meadow Ridge will be on June 11th during school.
4th Grade String students have completed "Strictly Strings" Book 1 and have begun "Strictly Strings" Book 2. Be sure to have both books at your lessons. 4th Grade Orchestra rehearsals are on Wednesday mornings.
Windwind and Brass students have been learning how to read pitch and rhythm on the staff. Percussion students are working on their rudiments and learning how to play a variety of different percussion instruments. Band rehearsals are held every Tuesday morning before school.
Children who have been practicing regularly have already started to excellerate success on their scales, exercizes and songs!
